Explorer Roald Amundsen led the first team to reach the South Pole, and now you can find out how he did it. His equipment and belongings are on display for the first time in Cambridge, including snow-shoes that stomped to the Pole more than a month before Scott’s British team, and a (rather stale by now) biscuit that survived the voyage.

Until 19 November, Polar Museum, Lensfield Road CB2 1ER, 01223 336562
